Shadow wash is the nickname of a special dye process, probably there are more nicknames out there. The look is so satisfying, there are really nice shadow effects around the thick stitching parts, 
high&lows of garment. And another advantage is that, it has a strong resistance of light. It doesnt pale even after 1 year hanging at the showroom.
But the process is too complicated and long process. Because there is a long prep before dye, involves resin. And also because of resin sometimes, after dye, have risk to loose the fabric strenght. But its definitely worth to try..
